Founded by archaeologist and experienced guide David Grace, Arch Travel Adventures brings together professional knowledge of archaeology, extensive experience in guiding and adventure travel, and a genuine appreciation for the world's diverse landscapes and cultures.

Our journeys are designed for travellers who want to experience more than the traditional tourist itinerary. We seek out extraordinary natural environments, remarkable archaeological and historical sites, local cultures, and unforgettable adventures, while maintaining a level of comfort that allows our guests to fully enjoy the experience.

Over the years, David has had the opportunity to work alongside archaeologists, experienced guides, local experts, and fellow travellers who share the same curiosity and enthusiasm for discovering the world.   • David Grace

    Founder | Archaeologist | Traveller | Tour Operator

    David Grace is the founder of Arch Travel Adventures, bringing together his lifelong passions for archaeology, exploration, travel, and cultural discovery.

    A lifelong traveller, David began exploring the world in his twenties, a journey that ultimately led him to pursue his education in both the United States and Greece, specializing in Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean Studies. His academic background and extensive field experience have taken him to archaeological sites and projects across the globe.

    David currently serves as Field Director of the Machakhela Archaeology Project in Georgia and Coordinator of the Archaeology in Action program at the Neo Rysio Kardia excavation in Greece. Over the years, he has participated in archaeological projects in Cyprus, Ukraine, Morocco, Egypt, Poland, and Scotland, gaining experience across a wide range of archaeological environments and cultural landscapes.

    With more than a decade of experience as a professional guide and tour operator, David combines academic knowledge with practical experience in leading people through some of the world's most fascinating destinations. He is also an accomplished trekker, with a particular passion for journeys that go beyond the typical tourist experience.

    David holds certifications in CPR and First Aid, is a certified English teacher and diver, and is a former member of the U.S. Air Force National Guard.

    At the heart of Arch Travel Adventures is David's belief that travel is about more than simply seeing new places. It is about experiencing cultures, understanding history, connecting with people, and stepping beyond the familiar.

    His greatest passion is discovering as much of this remarkable planet as possible—and sharing those experiences with curious, adventurous people who are ready to get out there and explore it for themselves.
